Tough Mudder returns to these shores once again this July, inviting one and all to test their resolve and pit their wits against the obstacle course from hell!
By now, we have all heard of Tough Mudder, the mud and obstacle course run over 10 or so miles, designed to drag you, kicking and screaming, out of your comfort zone. One thing is for sure, it will test your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. And it’s not a case of who finishes first – this is an event that promotes teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something almost as tough as you are.
As the organisers tell us, “The strength of one person is nothing compared to the power of a team. Tough Mudder’s full lineup of team-oriented obstacles guarantees that you’ll cross the finish line with more friends than you started with. Whether it’s through a helping hand or an extra vote of confidence, your fellow Mudders will be there for you every step of the way. Whether you arrive solo or with a team, all you need to come with is the strength to leave your fears in the parking lot and the willingness to push the boundaries your comfort zone”.
Tough Mudder is also partnering with a number of affiliated charities in Ireland this year. If you would like to support one of our charities, please get in touch with the charity directly to avail of a special discount entry code until May 1st. If you have already registered to participate in Tough Mudder and would like to support a charity, you will need to contact the relevant charity directly to join their Tough Mudder Team.
Some of the affiliated charities involved include the Irish Heart Foundation, Pieta House, MS Ireland, and Breast Cancer Research, amongst many others.
Tough Mudder takes place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July, 2016 at Loughcrew Adventure Centre in Meath. Tickets for the Saturday cost €115 + fees, and Sunday €105 + fees, and may be reserved online. Tickets are also available for spectators and for the Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder event.
