Ireland’s most fun 5k family fun run is back this summer – Colour Dash is returning to the Phoenix Park in Dublin on Sunday, 11th June.
After the success of 2016, the Irish Cancer Society is delighted to announce that this summer it will continue to spread the fun nationwide and hold four Colour Dash 5ks around Ireland – Dublin, Cork, Galway and Sligo.
Thousands of enthusiastic walkers, joggers and runners will inject some colour into their lives this summer. 100% of the funds raised through the Colour Dash will go directly to the Irish Cancer Society. Sign up today, get active and join the fight against cancer!
At Colour Dash, participants run, walk or jog as they are pelted by powdered paint at each kilometre along the route. Each kilometre represents a different cancer as well as cancer survivorship.
The colouring used is 100% organic and natural; it will not have a negative effect on you in any manner. But please do wear old clothes, and don’t wear anything that you wish to remain white! If you have bleached hair, it is recommended that you cover it, as the colours can take a few washes to come out.

Where the money goes
Money raised at the Colour Dash supports the Irish Cancer Society’s mission to stop cancer. They do this by funding life-saving cancer research as well as services and care for people affected by cancer all over Ireland. The Irish Cancer Society is 98% funded by the public, so they rely on events like Colour Dash to be able to provide these services and continue to fund research that saves lives.
