M. Night Shyamalan will be the special guest of the Light House Cinema in Smithfield Square this August.
Indian-American film director, screenwriter, producer and occasional actor Manoj Shyamalan, aka M. Night Shyamalan, is best known for his penchant for making movies with contemporary supernatural plots.
He will be present at the Light House Cinema on Sunday, 30th August, for the Irish Premiere of his latest movie ‘The Visit’, an American psychological horror comedy film, based loosely on the popular Brothers Grimm fairytale, “Hansel and Gretel”. The film stars Kathryn Hahn, Ed Oxenbould, Olivia DeJonge, Peter McRobbie and Benjamin Kanes.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session, hosted by 2FM’s Rick O’Shea. Tickets are priced at €12 and may be purchased online.
The Light House Cinema will be presenting a weekend of M. Night Shyamalan’s most iconic films in advance of the premiere of The Visit.
The programme includes:-
– The Sixth Sense: Friday, 28th August at 8.15pm
– Signs: Saturday, 29th August at 4pm
– Unbreakable: Saturday, 29th August at 8.30pm

The Visit opens in cinemas nationwide on Friday, 11th September.
