This September 29th to October 3rd the critically acclaimed musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, comes to the Bord Gáis Energy theatre.
Prepare to be transported to the luxurious lap of the French Riviera where the decadent world of sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson is about to come crashing down with the arrival of larger-than-life, Freddy Benson – a conman of an entirely different order.
They soon realise that the town isn’t big enough for the two of them and they find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all the stops in a bid to win the affections of millionaire soap heiress, Christine Colgate – but they have no idea what they have let themselves in for.
Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winning Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde and Hairspray), the musical is based on the legendary 1988 film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin. It opened in the West End in March this year to rave reviews and packed houses.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels has music and lyrics by Drama Desk Award winner, David Yazbek (Late Night with David Letterman, The Full Monty) and book by the Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning Jeffrey Lane (Mad About You).
The show begins on Tuesday 29th September and runs until Saturday 3rd October. Evening performances are at 7.30pm, and matinee performances on Wednesday 30th September and Saturday 3rd October are at 2.30pm.
