L.S.G Promotions and The Grand Social proudly presents REVERBERATION, Ireland’s first Psyche/Drone Festival.
Reverberation is, according to the organisers, a foray into the mind warp pavilion of Psyche thats far from being an excuse for nostalgic throwbacks or rummaging through your parents’ record collections.
The festival provides the perfect opportunity for the multitude of progressive, challenging, and innovative artists out there still waiting to be discovered. There is an exciting line up of local and International live acts confirmed for this weekender, which as well as being a live music event, also features guest DJ sets, visuals, classic cult movies, record and memorabilia stalls, a vintage Flea Market, food, and lots more.
Acts scheduled for Reverberation this August include:-
The Watchmakers (pictured above, lead image) hailing from the North West of England, are touted as one of the must see live acts and have received high praise from the likes of NME, Manchester Evening News, and XFM.
Another UK outfit, Dead Rabbits, whose gloomy noir-pop is influenced by the likes of Velvet Underground, Jesus and Mary Chain and The Doors, also feature on the lineup. A combo definitely driven by demons on the darker side of things.
TAU from Germany is spearheaded by Berlin-based Shaun Mulrooney (Humanzi), live organist and percussionist for Dead Skeletons. The project is a collage of ideas and trance-induced soundscapes.
Also on the bill we have:-
Cian Nugent & The Cosmos, the full electric band that has developed from Cian Nugent’s solo guitar playing over the past year.
Documenta from Northern Ireland, with their uniquely blissful command of spaced-out, drone-heavy guitar pop.
Twinkranes who specialise in zone out progressive Pop Music.
The Urges, whose live performance goes beyond just sounds creeping out of amplifiers through their use of light, film and colour.
Otherkin who have been causing quite a stir in their two years together, with two very promising EPs to their credit, and some excellent high quality videos.
Other names to look out for include Northern Ireland’s archetypal ‘shoegazers’ Autumns, Elastic Sleep from Cork, This Other Kingdom, Ruadhan O Meara’s lo-fi bedroom based electronic project entitled Magic Pockets, and Exploding Eyes, a Psych Rock trio based in Dublin.
REVERBERATION, Ireland’s first Psyche/Drone Festival, takes place on Friday 14th, and Saturday, 15th August, at The Grand Social in Dublin, running from 8:30pm to 2:30am each night. Tickets cost €12 (including booking fees) for each night and may be purchased online — Friday | Saturday.
The event is organized by L.S.G Promotions and The Grand Social, in association with Heineken Music.
