Inspirefest is back this June for two full days of inspiring talks and discussion with some incredible international thinkers.
Inspirefest, a truly unique international festival that focuses on technology, science, design and the arts, takes place from Thursday, 30th June to Saturday, 2nd July. The core two-day conference will be held in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin’s Silicon Docks, running from 9am to 5.30pm on the Thursday and Friday.
Inspirefest proudly places diversity and inclusion at its heart, and its mission to ‘change the ratio’ continues this year. With a 35% male audience in attendance last year, this demonstrates that this is far from being a ‘women’s’ event. The organisers say to think of it more in terms of being an inclusive and welcoming one.
There is once again a very impressive line-up of speakers confirmed for the event, including Robin Chase (Co-founder & former CEO, Zipcar), Judith Williams (Global Head of Diversity, Dropbox), Alan Siegel (President & CEO, Siegelvision), Jamila Abass (Founder, M-Farm), Kelly Hoey (Investor, Laconia Capital), Carrie Hammer (Role Models Not Runway Models), Isis Anchalee (Founder, #iLookLikeAnEngineer), Dr. Conor Hanley (CEO, FIRE1), and Niamh Scanlon, EU Digital Girl of the Year 2015, amongst many others. Kara Swisher, Co-Executive Editor of Recode will also be in attendance as guest chair.
The Inspirefest Fringe takes place in Merrion Square Park, one of Dublin’s leafy Georgian squares, running from 6.30 to 10pm each evening, with theatre, music, art and chat. On Saturday, 2nd July, there will be a free Family Fringe event (10am-1pm) of coding, crafting, hacking and fun in Merrion Square Park. Why not come along and learn with the kids?
Inspirefest runs from 30th June to 1st July at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. Different categories of tickets are available including Regular Bird at €395, Teachers, Academics & Not-for-Profits at €150, Student ticket & Over 65s at €125, and Bootstrapped Start Up tickets at €150.
