The annual Bray Air Spectacular is back this July as part of the Bray Summer Festival, and promises some great aerial acrobatic entertainment.
Well established as a firm favourite on the summer calendar, the annual Bray Air Display takes place on Sunday, 19th July, from 2pm, on the seafront in Bray. Part of the Bray Summerfest programme, it is once again supported by the Irish Aviation Authority, and is expected to attract over 80,000 visitors. Admission is free.
Sé Pardy, the Display Director for the event, said: “As this will be the 10th Annual Bray Air Display, we’ve got an extra special programme lined up for families. From vintage aircraft to supersonic jets, and from smoke-filled displays to precision formation flying, we’re showing the public the very best of what Irish and international aviation has to offer.”
Amongst the attractions this year will be the Patrouille Suisse, the Swiss Air Force Aerobatic team, making their Irish debut. There will also be the Black Knights Defence Forces Parachute Team, the Strikemaster, the high-speed SBach, the Boeing Stearman, the MIG-15 and the Hunter.
Our friends from Aer Lingus, Ryanair and CityJet will also be represented with their jets on display in the skies around Bray.
Due to the high numbers expected to be in attendance on the day, the organisers ask that people coming to the event try and use public transport where possible. If you are driving, please be aware of road closures and traffic restrictions. If you wish to park in the designated car parks, you must download and print out a parking permit, and display it on your dashboard.
