We once upon a time knew it as The Point. Then The O2. Now the newest incarnation of the landmark venue has arrived. 3Arena is here.
Three has announced today that the new name for the city’s most exciting live music and entertainment venue is 3Arena. The Live Nation-owned venue, which can accommodate up to 13,500 patrons, has played, and continues to play, a significant role in the local and national entertainment industry, hosting in excess of 100 concerts and shows annually.
Some of the biggest acts in the world are set to take to the stage of the refurbished venue in the coming months, including Lady Gaga, Paolo Nutini, Kylie Minogue, Ennio Morricone, The Who, and our own Imelda May.
Mike Adamson, CEO of Live Nation Ireland and co-owner of 3Arena, said, “We are excited to embark on this new journey and welcome our new partners Three on board. Their ambition for the venue is incredibly exciting and music fans across Ireland will ultimately benefit. We always aim to bring the best entertainment experiences to our customers and 3Arena will continue to thrill music fans for years to come.”
To celebrate the rebranding of the venue, Three will be hosting ‘3Arena Illuminated‘ next week. Three will be gathering music fans’ music memories through their social media channels and sharing them with the world by projecting them onto the facade of the venue over a four day stretch, from 10th – 13th September. Who said that you missed out on your 15 minutes of fame?
