Come discover the finest up and coming local musical talent at the Bootleg Project showcase in Dublin.
The Bootleg Project is the initiative of JJ Bird, the creative force behind Skyrockit Music, providing a unique acoustic showcase for local singer/songwriter talent.
Taking place fortnightly in the Loft in Foley’s of Merrion Row, the Bootleg Project offers musicians the opportunity to perform in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where the vibe is definitely very cool and very cosy!
Bands wishing to perform in the Bootleg Project sign up via the Skyrockit Music website. Each act is limited to a half hour set on the night, giving them plenty of time to interact with and impress the assembled masses.
While they will be performing for free at the showcase, they are guaranteed great exposure through the various social media channels of the organisers, and a write-up on the Skyrockit Music website. Musicians are also able to sell their own merchandising on the night.
Doors open at 9pm, with the first acts taking the stage at 9.15pm. Admission to the Bootleg Project is only €5, payable on the door, quite possibly the best value in town for a night of good music in great company. There are also drinks promotions which vary from week to week.
Guests who have played so far include: Cian, Kate Dineen, Barry Jay Hughes, Josie Harrington, Karla Chubb, Loop Culture, Luke S, Jeremiah Day, Fields, and Taylors Lane.
Keep an eye on the Bootleg Project Facebook page for details of upcoming showcase nights. And if you do know of any musicians interested in performing, get them to sign up asap!
