We can’t get enough of The Great Gatsby and this summer Film Fatale takes us back to prohibition era and the Great’s mansion.
Jay Gatsby threw a party greater and stranger than fiction. On Saturday 15th August, Film Fatale will bring it to life in the grounds of IMMA harking back to the Roaring Twenties, the hedonism of prohibition, the glamour, revelry and mischief of illicit drinking and forbidden parties.
Early arrivals to the mansion will be chauffeured in Gatsby’s famous car from the gate to the mansion’s grounds. There’ll be gin punch in teacups, croquet and bowls on the lawns and Charleston in the sunset. Indoors the real prohibition experience begins: more gin fizz, vintage and electro-swing DJs, fan dancers, well-fringed flappers, gambling tables, gangsters and pleasure-seeking partners.
The dress code is twenties so channel your choice of Fitzgerald hero, but don’t forget your dancing shoes.
You’ll have to beg, borrow or steal to lay your hands on tickets to the event which has now sold out, but sign up here to get a heads-up on more events by Film Fatale.
