The award-winning musical, Mary Poppins, comes to Ireland for the first time this December.

The magical story of the world’s favourite Nanny arriving on Cherry Tree Lane has been triumphantly and spectacularly brought to the stage with dazzling choreography, incredible effects and unforgettable songs.

Running from 3rd December to 9th January at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, this promises to be one of the big hits of the Christmas season.

The stage version of Mary Poppins is brilliantly adapted from the wonderful stories by PL Travers and the beloved Walt Disney film and has a book by Oscar-winning screenwriter and Downton Abbey creator, Julian Fellowes.

It has a timeless score by Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman including the classic songs Jolly Holiday, Step in Time, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Feed the Birds, as well as new songs and additional music and lyrics by the Olivier award-winning British team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

The film Mary Poppins released in 1964 to critical acclaim and received 13 Oscar nominations, winning five. It has now become one of the best-loved stories by children and adults alike.

Tickets are priced between €25 and €68 and limited group discounts are available. Discounts are not available between December 18th and January 2nd. Evening performances are at 7.30pm and matinees on Saturdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are at 2.30pm. Sunday matinees are at 2pm.
