In association with ID2015, Kildare Village hosts In the Fold, an exclusive exhibition of the most exciting and emerging young Irish fashion design talent.

In The Fold, curated by Gemma A. Williams under the direction of ID2015’s Fashion & Textiles Advisor Aisling Farinella, features the work of some of the most notable young Irish fashion designers such as Rory Parnell Mooney, Michael Stewart, Caoimhe MacNeice, Naoise Farrell, Richard Malone, Jocelyn Murray Boyne, Oliver Duncan and Laura Kinsella.

The exhibition explores how young Irish graduates use fashion as a creative response to their environment, revealing how cultural identity is formed and refined by our surroundings. This is the first time the exhibition, which premiered at London Fashion Week earlier this year at the International Fashion Showcase 2015, has been shown at home in Ireland.

Visitors to Kildare Village can experience the work of our young fashion talent and also attend a series of fashion and design focused events to take place at Kildare Village each week. The events programme aims to offer a deeper engagement with the designers and each of their areas of expertise.

The programme features:

Thursday 21 May: ‘Sustainability of Fashion’ with Richard Malone

Saturday 23 May: ‘The Craft of Weaving’ with Oliver Duncan Doherty

All events are complimentary but booking is essential as spaces are limited! To reserve your place: email RSVP [at] KildareVillage.com or phone (045) 534 945.

These events take place at 2pm in the ID2015 exhibition opposite All Saints boutique.
