The Noise Upstairs is a new and exciting open mic night that takes place every Monday evening in the East Side Tavern, right in the heart of Dublin.
The Noise Upstairs aims to show off the best music, spoken word and performance art this city has to offer. Each week, four insanely talented featured acts take to the stage to entertain the masses, and there are also a number of open slots for any performer to come along and make some noise. AND, just like communism, all artists receive a share of audience donations.
The event has already featured the talents of guitar strumming Johnny Rayge, and word uttering Alicia Byrne Keane and Brian Mac Mahon Gallagher and the guys have plenty more incredible artists lined up.
For your inspiration, there is a set theme that artists and audiences can use to get involved or overtly ignore if you are the rebellious type. Along with all that, The Noise Upstairs is entirely committed to fully involving and entertaining the whole crowd. No matter what, there will always be a bucket load of opportunities for the audience to sing along and join in, shout out and win. Only recently, the guys gave away a copy of Fifty Shades of Dorian Grey, the sensational read of the summer, to one lucky audience member.
The Noise Upstairs is on every Monday from 7:30pm, upstairs (ironically) in the East Side Tavern. So come along and see what the noise is all about.
