The National Concert Hall has another great line-up of concerts and events for the month of June.
The month of June looks very promising at the NCH, with an amazing programme to suit all tastes.
The annual Tuesday Lunchtime Series returns on the 13th June, with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra at helm. Also on the agenda, we have the Summer Evening Concerts series, taking place each Friday evening during the month.

An American in Paris
Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd June – 8pm
See one of the American Film Institute’s Top 10 Greatest Movie Musicals of All Time, An American in Paris live on the big screen with some of the iconic tunes including Embraceable You, Nice Work If You Can Get It, I Got Rhythm & more performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra
Saint Sister
Wednesday 7th June – 8pm
Saint Sister, formed in November 2014, is the creation of Morgan MacIntyre and Gemma Doherty. Their music draws from early Celtic harp traditions, 60s folk and electronic pop to create ‘atmosfolk’—a mix of soulful vocal harmonies, dreamy synth and electro-acoustic harp.
Joyce DiDonato
Thursday 8th June – 8pm
The multiple GRAMMY-winning mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato returns to the NCH with ‘In War and Peace: Harmony through Music’, a theatrical and powerful performance of Baroque arias by Handel, Purcell and Leonardo Leo. She will be accompanied by Italian early music ensemble Il Pomo d’Oro conducted by Maxim Emelyanychev for what she has said is “my most personal project to date.”
A Mozart Magnification
Saturday 10th June
Celebrating 50 years of choral singing, Tallaght Choral Society and orchestra is joined by soprano Sandra Oman, alto Raphaela Mangan, tenor Peter O’Reilly & baritone Brendan Collins for an evening of wonderful Mozart repertoire
Elmer Bernstein: 50 Years of Film Music
Wednesday 14th June – 8pm
The writer of some of the movies’ most memorable themes – including The Magnificent Seven , The Great Escape and To Kill a Mockingbird – will be celebrated in a brand new show, Elmer Bernstein: 50 Years of Film Music, featuring the RTÉ Concert Orchestra & presented & conducted by the composer’s son, Peter.
Hibernian Orchestra Summer Gala Concert
Thursday 15th June
From Brief Encounters to The Seven Year Itch, Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto has been the soundtrack to romance & seduction for over 100 years. Virtuoso Alexander Bernstein will join the Hibernian Orchestra under conductor John Finucane for a performance of this enduringly popular concerto.
Waltons World Masters: Susana Baca
Thursday 22nd June

Hallelujah: An Evening of Inspirational Music

Hallelujah is an evening of inspirational music from throughout the ages featuring the world-renowned Palestrina Choir of the Pro-Cathedral, soprano Sandra Oman, baritone Simon Morgan, Irish singers Mary Coughlan & Melanie McCabe, violinist Denice Doyle & trumpet soloist Niall O’Sullivan
