The 10th Dublin Dance Festival is back with a great line up of international and Irish artists who will take to the stage and streets of the Capital.
Enabling audiences to discover inspirational artists lies at the heart of the Dublin Dance Festival mission. The best of international dance companies and choreographers are programmed alongside emerging and established artists from Ireland and around the world in a variety of venues and spaces around the city.
The festival provides a platform for Irish choreographers to develop their work in an international context, while also premiering major new Irish works and providing networking opportunities. It also allows the participants to celebrate and reflect on the popularity and position that dance has gained in Ireland.
Each year, the festival attracts many prominent, international dance promoters for whom the festival is an ideal place for discovering new talent.
Among the festival highlights will be Still Current by artist Russell Maliphant, the global phenomenon Bodies in Urban Spaces by Austrian Cie. Willi Dorner, and work by Irish choreographers Emma Martin Dance, which open the festival with Tundra, a blend of theatre, music and dance.
There is also the opportunity to engage with dance via master classes, talks and ‘Fast Tracks to Dance’; an immersive weekend programme for those who would like to learn about the art form over a fast and furious Festival weekend.
The 10th Dublin Dance Festival runs from Tuesday 20th to Saturday, 31st of May. To book tickets or for more information on the event, please visit the official festival website or call +353 1 672 8815.
