Fishamble The New Play Company presents Bailed Out! at the Pavilion Theatre as part of Dublin Theatre Festival.
Bailed Out! is the new drama-documentary by Colin Murphy, and follows on from the smash hit success of Guaranteed! It was co-commissioned by both Fishamble and the Pavilion Theatre, and is directed by Conall Morrison.
On November 28th, 2010, the late Brian Lenihan, then Ireland’s Minister for Finance, alone at the airport en route to Brussels, looked into the snow and thought, ‘This is terrible. No Irish minister has ever had to do this before.’
Bailed Out! tells the sad story of how the country fell into the grip of the Troika.
Based on official documents and off-the-record interviews, an ensemble of actors in this stripped-back production embodies a myriad of national and international figures as they wrestle with the crisis. Guaranteed to inform, enrage and perhaps leave you feeling a little heart-broken!
Bailed Out! plays at the Pavilion Theatre in Dún Laoghaire as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.
