Canadian dramatist George F. Walker’s ‘Risk Everything’ gets its European premiere at the New Theatre in Dublin’s Temple Bar this July.
Whirligig Theatre Company presents ‘Risk Everything’ by award winning Canadian dramatist George F. Walker at the New Theatre in Dublin’s Temple Bar, running from the Monday 6th to Saturday, 18th of July. This will be the European premiere of the play.
Described as a ‘thriller-cum-dysfunctional-family drama’, the play tells the story of Carol, an inveterate risk taker, who is determined to swindle a homicidal thug out of a substantial sum of money. To ensure the success of this plan, she must rope her daughter Denise, son-in-law RJ, and new boyfriend Michael into her scheme.
We get to see firsthand how this band of lovable losers copes under the extreme emotional and physical distress of the situation.
Some might say the production is somewhat reminiscent of Quentin Tarantino and Martin McDonagh, but one thing is for sure — Risk Everything promises a night of theatre that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout!
Risk Everything runs from 6th – 18th July at the New Theatre in Dublin. Tickets cost €15 (concessions available) and may be reserved online.
