The Grand Social & Ubangi Stomp Club present Summer Swing, a three day festival of top class vintage Roots, Swing, Rockabilly, Skiffle & Country.

Summer Swing, in association with O’Hara’s Irish Craft Beers, runs from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st August, featuring America’s King of Western Swing – Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, and the UK’s number 1 Jive band – The Jive Aces, as well as a selection of some great local talent.

Feel good vibes and top class music are guaranteed to abound at this inaugural Summer Swing Festival, taking place in The Grand Social. The event will also showcase great home grown roots talent like the brilliant New Orleans style boogie-woogie piano chops of Gavin Povey & His Fabulous Oke-She-Moke-She-Pops (pictured above), the electric folk cowboy Jem Mitchell, the swinging skiffle of The Louisiana 6, Rockabilly heroes The Slick Hicks, and the sweet country rock sound of The Annulments.

On DJ duties will be DJ Mouse, one of the UK’s finest and a man who launched some of London’s best Rock N’ Roll club nights over the last four decades. Down from Derry for this special weekend are the Rumble Club DJs, who play a swingin’ mix of rockabilly, surf and exotica.

Sunday, 21st August
