Steve Earle & The Dukes play the Olympia Theatre in Dublin this October as part of their Irish tour.
American rock, country, and folk singer-songwriter Steve Earle returns to Ireland this October, as part of the European leg of the tour in support of ‘Terraplane’, his latest album with backing band, The Dukes.
With a career spanning more than 30 years (he released his first EP Pink & Black in 1982, which featured The Dukes), Earle is no stranger to these shores, having only played the National Concert Hall in August last year.
Perhaps best known for his ‘Copperhead Road’ album (1988) or more recently for the song ‘Galway Girl’ which appeared on the 2000 album ‘Transcendental Blues’ recorded with Sharon Shannon, his latest release ‘Terraplane’ sees a return to a more blues-orientated sound. Earle’s 16th studio album, which was released in February of this year, runs the gamut of the genre, from acoustic to roadhouse blues, stopping off in Chicago on the way.
