The much loved Broadway favourite, the 1964 musical Fiddler on the Roof, is coming to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this February.

Directed and choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood, this production is filled with famous songs such as ‘If I Were a Rich Man‘, and ‘Sunrise Sunset‘ and stars Paul Michael Glaser as Tevye.

The winner of nine Tony awards, Fiddler on the Roof is one the longest running musicals of Broadway, with a thirteen year run and 3,000 performances since its premiere. The 1971 film adaptation of the musical won three Oscars and featured Paul Michael Glaser as a student who falls in love with Tevye’s daughter.

Based on the fictional memoir Tevye and his Daughters, by Sholem Aleichem, the musical is set in Russia in 1905 and tells the story of a poor milkman, Tevye, as he attempts to preserve his family and Jewish traditions.
