Our answer to London, Paris, Milan and New York’s various fashion weeks is the Dublin Fashion Festival, hitting our streets this September.

Dublin Fashion Festival in association with DublinTown is back again in September, celebrating style, shopping and all things sartorial in our city.

The face of this year’s festival is Angela Scanlon (pictured below) who, let’s not forget, fronted a campaign for none other than Louis Vuitton this year. “I have always championed Irish style and anything that throws a spotlight on that is a positive thing. The charm and energy of Dublin makes it utterly unique, whether it’s the characters or the pop-ups or the old independents that have been here for decades, there’s always something different to see and experience,” said Angela of her involvement with the DFF.

We couldn’t agree more; there’s so much going on and developing in terms of the fashion scene in our dear town.

Over 250 retailers, restaurants, bars and hotels get involved in Dublin’s celebration of fashion and shopping, because this is a fashion festival with our own unique twist. It’s shopping and socialising, there will be lots of discounts and free events – it’s a fashion week with accessibility and fun the main aim.

Expect on-street fashion shows on Grafton Street and Henry Street, special in-store events, style advice, the Evoke.ie Dublin Fashion Bus, and more. Angela Scanlon will host a live fashion show on Friday, 5th September, one of the festival’s main events. We’re getting very excited about the streets becoming a temporary catwalk. Streetstyle as it should be.

We’ll be bringing you more information soon on the schedule and special events.
