Yes, it may only be August, but that won’t stop Brown Thomas bringing a touch of Christmas to the city centre!

Iconic Dublin department store Brown Thomas has just unveiled its renowned Christmas Market. A dedicated space in-store will be transformed to showcase myriad festive offerings of Christmas trees, exquisite decorations and brilliant gift ideas in a special curation of themes. The Brown Thomas buying team start sourcing exclusive pieces for the Christmas Shop in January of each year. The themes they have come up with this year include ‘Venetian Chic’, ‘Winter Palace’, ‘Yule Tide’, ‘Nutcracker Suite’ and ‘Novelty and Collectables’.

Brown Thomas Managing Director Stephen Sealey comments: “The Christmas Market opens at the same time every year due to customer demand. We find there is a positive response from shoppers, with trees and some decorations selling out as early as October. In August last year, 3,000 units of Christmas decorations sold within the first three days of opening the Christmas Market. Our customers know to expect the launch of the Christmas Market in August each year.”

The luxury food offering at the Christmas Market will showcase beautifully presented Christmas hampers from Fortnum & Mason filled with festive delights including; Christmas pudding, spiced biscuits, fruit preserves and champagne. Delicious Christmas stocking fillers include; Godiva chocolate advent calendars, Whittards Christmas pudding shortbread stars, Churchills’ toffee and fudge carousel tin, novelty festive baking kits and prosecco gummies.
