Dublin Gallery Weekend: 30 galleries, 60 events, one weekend to discover great art in and around the capital.

The inaugural Dublin Gallery Weekend takes place this September, with over 60 special events planned for a variety of galleries during the three day event.

This new visual arts festival will see contemporary art galleries across Dublin throwing open their doors, offering visitors the chance to experience the fantastic works housed within.

The programme for the weekend also includes exhibition openings, walking tours, artist and curator talks, and workshops. The good news is that almost everything will be free of charge.

Galleries participating in the Dublin Gallery Weekend include Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham, Nag Gallery, Science Gallery, Douglas Hyde, RHA, Project Arts Centre, NCAD and many more, featuring a range of Irish and international artists.

Walking tours will showcase the cultural delights of areas such as Trinity, Parnell Square, Monto, The Coombe, St. Stephens Green, and Temple Bar.

Dublin Gallery Weekend takes place from Friday 11th, to Sunday, 13th September. With so many events happening, you need to start planning your weekend now!
