The third Homebound for the Homeless charity gig takes place at The Mercantile this September with some very special guests on the bill!
Homebound for the Homeless presents its annual charity gig to raise much needed funds to aid in the fight against homelessness in Dublin, and sadly that money is urgently needed now, more than ever.
The charity gig takes place in The Mercantile on Dame Street on Friday, 11th September, and promises to be a great occasion with some top quality acts performng on the night.
In keeping with its commitment to include Dublin musicians at its gigs, Homebound for the Homeless recently announced The Blue Thunder Band as main support act for the evening.
The headline act will be none other that the legend that is Eric Bell. Best known as a founding member of Thin Lizzy, Eric has had a hugely impressive career, playing with the likes of Them with Van Morrison, the Bo Diddley Band, and The Noel Redding Band. Eric is also currently working on his new album, ‘Exile‘, which will be released in October.
The opening act on the night will be the sublimely talented guitarist Dick Farrelly, who has also had quite the career, playing with the likes of Van Morrison, and was the Musical Director of Mick Taylor’s Blues Band. He has also contributed to many movie soundtracks including Michael Collins and The Butcher Boy.
